Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch and Whitefish are in abundance in Horwood Lake.

The lake is known not only for its beauty, but also that it is a very healthy naturally producing lake.

Its large size and low level fishing pressure contribute to ensuring Horwood Lake will remain

rated amongst the top for years to come. It has been the subject of numerous fishing shows

but we prefer to think the success is shown on the smiles of our guests who have caught their

dream that day and can't wait to tell us.

ORIENTATION TO HORWOOD LAKE

At Horwood Lake Lodge, we will give you one of the best orientations to your equipment and to the lake.

You are provided not only with a detailed fishing and structure map of the lake, but also shown proven

techniques & equipment we recommend. We are more than happy to review what works and

doesn't work with you and provide options we offer in our fully equipped tackle and bait shop.

We can even show you how to bait your hook properly with minnows or night crawlers.

Over 100 Miles Of Shoreline To Fish !

We'll give you a laminated map, go over it with you, suggest certain hot spots,

and explain different techniques to use.

Be assured ... you do not have to lose sight of the Lodge to catch fish !

 Since gas is included in your package, some will want to venture down to the Falls for the day

and we provide you with information and directions to other shore lunch areas, trolling areas,

swimming holes and scenic landmarks of interest as well.

Fishing Licenses may be purchased at the Lodge upon check-in and the Tackle Shop offers

a complete line of tackle, ice, soda pop, boating snacks, fishing regulations

and boat safety guidelines.

       


We have a brand new boat fleet in 2008 !

16' MirroCraft, open flat floored, along with high-backed swivel seats, depth finders,

aerated live wells, powered by 2008 Yamaha 4-Stroke, 20hp engines.

These boats are included as our standard boats at no extra cost, along with all of the gas used

while you enjoy your stay with us here at Horwood Lake Lodge.
