We
would like to welcome you, to our remote Northeastern Ontario Canadian
Fishing-Hunting-ATV Adventure Lodge. 2008 will be our inaugural season
here at Horwood Lake Lodge. As the new owners of Horwood Lake Lodge we
will keep the traditional values of the Lodge intact, and try to make
the improvements necessary, to provide you, our guest, with the vacation
that you dream of all year long!
 Here
at Horwood Lake Lodge, we will strive to give you only one thing to
think about while you are our guest, where do you want to fish next! The
Horwood lake system has all the needed natural components to provide a
world-class fishery, for Walleye, Northern Pike, Whitefish and Jumbo
perch. The lake is both River-fed, and spring fed, insuring a natural
water temperature, along with a deep water structured bottom, to provide
plenty of structure for fish to naturally look for feeding zones,
throughout the entire lake, yearlong.
Horwood Lake Lodge has been described as a world-class fishing and
hunting camp, with the pampered environment of an exclusive Bed &
Breakfast. Our Lodge offers clean, comfortable accommodations. Each
cabin is equipped with hot & cold running water, showers, flush toilets,
along with a fully equipped kitchenette, with refrigerator for our
housekeeping guest. For our "American Plan" guest, we offer daily maid
service, fresh clean towels daily, and three meals per day.
The all inclusive "American Plan" provides each guest with three meals
per day; breakfast is a completely open menu, everything from cold and
hot cereals to a complete Ham, eggs and home fries breakfast, right down
to loaded omelets! Lunch consist of packed "to go" sandwiches, along
with fresh baked cookies, fruit and beverage delivered to your breakfast
table, or your choice to cook your own "Canadian Shore Lunch", we will
provide everything needed to cook the relished shore lunch, except the
fish!! You have to do something!! Nothing better then fresh caught
walleye, fried to perfection over an open fire in the Canadian
wilderness!! All we ask, is to be very careful, to protect our natural
resources, by showing respect for the fire.
Then supper will be served at the historic Horwood Lake Lodge, our
supper menu offers something different every night of the week, from
Roast Turkey dinners, to Prime-rib night!! All meals are portioned to
satisfy even the heartiest appetite. All suppers include the famous "Horwood
Lake Lodge" salad bar, along with a calorie inclusive desert made fresh
daily here in our kitchen, depending on the mood of the cook!!
While you're our guest here at the "Horwood Lake Lodge" don't worry
about a dinning schedule, we will offer to hold your supper, if you
choose to stay out on the lake, because you're having one of those days,
when the fish, just keep on biting!! We will pack up your supper meal,
and have it waiting for you in your cabin.
Our guests come from all walks of life, from all over Canada, and the
United States, having a wonderful mix of guest creates an atmosphere at
the camp, that cannot be duplicated. When you have a doctor sitting next
to an auto service technician, and they both share their exciting
fishing and hunting stories, and become more then just guest sharing a
camp, friendships start and continue over the years, some of our guest
have been returning to Horwood lake Lodge, for years! We hope the
friendships that begin here always remain here, and only grow with time.
Something new here at Horwood Lake Lodge in the past several years, is
the exciting sport of ATV'ing. We offer a incredible opportunity for a
once in a lifetime ATV adventure, taking guest on either a 3, or up to 8
hour ATV excursion. We offer a eco-tourism tour, where we take you to
places of pristine wilderness, giving you the opportunity for photos of
the best of "Mother Nature", a possible glimpse of the magnificent
Moose, black bear, lynx, peregrine falcons and of course, the Bald
Eagle! The call of the Loon, which is a mainstay of any visit to the
Northwood's, will top your day off, as you spend you time exploring the
breathtaking wilderness.
Another ATV adventure trip we offer is the full day ATV/Fishing tour. We
will take you on a guided all day excursion, out exploring one of our 15
outbound lakes, some just waiting for the angler, to drop a line into
the waters, and having the opportunity to catch something a little
different, the Smallmouth Bass. You'll enjoy the sport of ATV'ing, along
with trying your luck in a different body of water, with a different
species of sport fish!

father and son, a group, honeymooner, women in search of a different
adventure, artist, photographer, or just a fisherman looking for that
next strike, we offer the comfort and privacy of a natural environment,
