Horwood Lake Lodge is on beautiful Horwood Lake, which is a large 14,000 acre spectacular

body of water often described as the prettiest lake in Northern Ontario. The lake is both

spring and river fed and you will be overwhelmed by its picturesque shores with steep granite cliffs,

its gently sloping wooded shorelines and its magnificent sandy beaches. The lake offers a variety

of depths, structures, irregular shorelines and islands with numerous secret fishing holes

awaiting your discovery. Horwood Lake has long been known for its trophy fishing, but

year after year guests return because of the abundance of fish in this amazing lake.

SWIM WITH THE POLAR BEARS
Our brand new "Swim With The Polar Bears" attraction offers you an opportunity to actually swim

alongside polar bears. Northeastern Ontario is proud to offer to visitors from all over the globe

this unique and educational attraction at our new Polar Bear Conservation Centre which is

combined with Heritage Village - an aboriginal education centre. Each visitor to our new centre

is one step to further to helping these orphaned polar bears and offers families a once-in-a-lifetime

educational opportunity. This attraction is within 2-3 hrs. driving distance from Horwood Lake Lodge.
