What's the best week to hunt moose

with a rifle ?

As in any hunting situation, Mother Nature calls the shots !  There are 4 week in the gun season - and we would recommend the first 2 weeks.  Normally, rifle hunters begin to scout heavily the week before - so choosing the 3rd week of the hunt would be much quieter.

Yes, our 2 Hunter Packages actually include 2 tags ...

1 Cow and 1 Calf.

What's your success rate ?

Moose Hunting is a much different story

than Bear Hunting !

Hunters have to work to be successful.

There are many areas to scout and hunt.

Success rates normally are 25%.

Success totally depends on the "work" that the

hunters do - scouting, etc.

Should we bring portable stands ?

Unless you intend on hunting only on the ground, we suggest to bring climber, hanger or ladder stands.

Should we bring ATV's ?

Yes ... VERY much recommended for travelling and scouting, but for getting your moose out !

Can you recommend clothing to bring ?

Bring scent free clothing with layers of underclothing - in case a cold front moves into the area.

What hunting technique is most

successful ?

You'll be hunting after the rut -

calling bulls will work at times.

Normally, Cows will be travelling with the bulls.

Do we need a Guide ?

If you're not familiar with the our area ...

we would suggest to hire a Guide for a day to scout and show you best areas to set up - it will increase your success rate significantly !
