What's New At Horwood Lake Lodge ?
November 2009 Newsletter
Now that we have closed Horwood Lake Lodge for the winter months,
we are reflecting on our 2009 season and we have one message to relay ... "Thank You" !
To all our guests this past season, all fishermen, women and children ...
bear hunters, moose hunters and anyone that just stopped by the lodge to say 'Hi' ... we thank you !
We all worked very hard to succeed in our goals for our 2nd official season,
and in combination with our great owners and our staff, we accomplished more that we expected !
Some renovations were competed and more are planned for the near future.
Here's Cabin #7 and also the Main Lodge - with new exterior siding.
We hope that you will join us again in our 2010 season !

April Newsletter
Well, March and April have been very productive for Horwood Lake Lodge !
Many reservations for fishing, vacations and hunting have been booked and I’d like to
reflect a huge “Thank You” to all the past guests and new guests that have booked with us
for the 2009 season.
Joe and I would also like to thank all of you that stopped to say
Hello at the Toronto Sportsman Show along with the Buffalo and Pennsylvania shows.
It’s always great to meet and make new friends from all over North America.
We have begun to put many plans into effect for Horwood Lake Lodge this year...
- more cabin renovations
- constructing brand new hunting stands
- clearing trails
- planning more outings to scout remote lakes
- and the recent purchase of a new Polaris Ranger UTV for better access to back lakes with our guests !
The time has nearly arrived !!!
We will be heading North to Horwood Lake Lodge the last week of April
to prepare for the official opening of May 15.
For those of you that may be still contemplating your vacation time or hunt with us,
we hope that you contact us soon before our season is booked up !
It’s looking like we will have a great season with great friends in our beautiful surroundings
in Ontario’s Northern Wilderness Region !
Please join us ... we’re going to share wonderful times in 2009 !

Horwood Lake Lodge In January !
February & March's News ... A Word From Your Hosts ...
As we look back on our first year as owners of Horwood Lake Lodge,
we have to recall all of the great guests that became our friends before they left,
and realize that we are much better Hosts for it.
We now are looking forward onto the 2009 season, and all the old friends that are
coming back to spend their valuable time with us, along with all the new friends and faces
we will get to meet, and get to share our Lodge with.
As we plan our season, and the new renovations on a few more of the cabins, we plan on
making more initiatives to making Horwood Lake Lodge a even more comfortable
and relaxing destination for our guests.
We have our staff, Marty, Cheryl, Mr. Bill, and a new General Manager, Gary Stocking,
who will be joining Joe & Sharon in making Horwood even better. Gary comes to us from
a background in the Canadian Tourist trade, and is an experienced Outfitter,
Guide and Lodge Operator. Gary will be upgrading our ATV Adventures and our Hunting
programs at Horwood Lake Lodge, along with his expertise in making sure
our Guest’s needs are met.
As the spring arrives, and the ice melts from Horwood Lake, we will be promoting the Lodge,
by attending several Sport Shows, from Michigan, to Pennsylvania, New York, and
of course Ontario, finalizing at the Toronto Sportsman Show, where we always look forward
to seeing a lot of our Canadian friends.
All of us are getting anxious to get the lodge opened and ready for the first guests to arrive in May,
pull the boats out, get the docks ready, make all the beds, stock up on supplies,
and then await the arrival of our Guests ...
the most important part of making Horwood Lake Lodge your preferred destination!
